The fog was thick so what better way to enter through the smoke than to the Chicago Bulls intro song Sirius. With tunes in hand, 9 men entered the gloom.
Warm up:
Tunes: Thunderstruck, Crazy Train, I’m Shipping Up to Boston
SSH, Windmill, Water Wheel, Low Slow Squat
Mosey around the baseball field. Stop at the 3rd base line for warrior lunge, butt kickers, high knees, and karaoke.
And away we went for some recess on the playground.
The Thang:
Tunes: Money for Nothing, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
Quickly becoming YHC favorite, we began with 3/1 merkins and superset with 3/1 dips. IC 3 seconds down, 1 second up.
After 3 rounds, we each found a bar to hang from for 2 minutes. Wet bars made it extra challenging so we paused at 1 minute to rest by doing 5 burpees and resumed.
Fast mosey to the soccer field to the tune of Eye of the Tiger
The Thang Pt 2: Beep Test
Next up the beep test. PAX run continuously between two points that are 20 meters apart. The runs are synchronized with a smartphone app that played beeps at set intervals. At the sound of a beep, the PAX run 20 meters before then next beep sounds. As the test proceeds, the interval between each successive beep decreases, forcing the PAX to increase their speed over the course of the test, until it is impossible to keep in sync with the recording. Should the Pax fail to make the 20 meter distance prior to the sounding of the Beep, then the PAX are eliminated from the test. All eliminated PAX alternated between 4 merkins and 2 burpees. Props to “The Original” for being the last PAX standing.
With a little time to spare, the PAX did SSH while listening to “Tubthumper”. Every time “I get knocked down…” played, PAX did a burpee for a total of 24 burpees.
Finally, we mosey’d back to the flagpole with negative 1 minute to spare.

Billboard took us out.
