Reflections: Where were we a year ago? – 2022-01-03

AO: The Rig
QiC: Jumbo
Pax Count: 7
Pax List: Buttercup, Jumbo, Spacelaw, Vertigo
FNG Count: 0
Downrange: Beauty (Cape Fear), Hips Don't Lie (Cape Fear), CAD (Cape Fear)

Approximately a year ago, the PAX that run The Rig first explored the neighborhoods of southeast atlanta looking for a the next location to plant a shovel and expand the mission of F3.  Today, we looked back and performed the beatdown from our first exploratory mission – when we visited Grant Park and realized how truly dark the park is at 545 AM.

We were happy to see SpaceLaw return from his toe injury. We’ve missed you brother.

We welcomed three downrange PAX from Cape Fear as well! Thanks to Beauty, Hips Don’t Lie and CAD (age 18!) for visiting and beating down in the wacky weather of an Atlanta winter.

Warm up:

We 10 counted Motivators, Don Quixote’d, and Merkined.

We stretched as needed and introduced our downrange PAX to the The Rig with a short circuit of movements.

The Thang:

We performed the following beatdown.

  1. Jacob’s Burpee Ladder alongside Martin Street (5-10-15-20) of Burpees and LBCs. 80 Burpeess and 80 LBCs in total!
  2. 3 rounds of bear crawl and crab walk
  3. 11s – step ups and triceps

CoT:

As we enter the New Calendar Year, it’s easy to say “new year, new us” but Beauty reminded us that consistency is also important. Quality leadership is consistent. Those who look to be led by us will notice our inconsistencies.

In that vein, YHC, wants to be fully transparent and share that I have been very inconsistent in work life balance and wants to prioritize family and relationships over work. This resonated with other PAX. May we hold each other accountable and in love!

Naked Man Moleskin:

The Rig’s 100th beatdown is Thursday 13-Jan. The 1-year birthday is 3-Feb!

Lots of social activities are planned for the month of january. Bring a friend!
