Something About Mary!
0550-0559. 71 degrees. Clear skies, and yet hot and muggy. Suds thought, Have we ever run the entire trail around Brook Run? I am sure Seles has done it….. or has he?. Well, today is the day!
(Side Note: Completely apologize for the lack of care to end of our Beat Down this morning and lack of attention to fully expected Monkey Humpers…. This will never happen again! You have my most sincere apology)
0600 – Disclaimers were uttered, Set List (various songs) was announced and off we went……

Thang – Chasing Mary on the Dunwoody Trailway
- (songs kicked off with Slow Ride by Foghat, and hits kept flowing all the way around)
- So off we went (Big Dawgs, Greyhounds, Gazelles, Clowns, alley cats, and a couple of yard dogs) moseying into the park, hooking a sharp left to the Dunwoody Trailway On Ramp and we started cruising through Brook Run making the entire 1.8 mile loop with Pit Stops along the way. We did pause just south of the ball fields to Bear Crawl our way through a Painted Story Walk (paintings set in order to tell a story). So, having slammed down into low gear to enjoy these paintings, we decided this would be a great opportunity for some dancing bears, crawls, stone mountains, more bear crawls while enjoying the artwork. All were done in IC, with various number of sets. It was quite the cultural event. Enough about that, we moseyed on…..
- Pit Stop 1 – Mary at the Ampitheater. 4 Mary exercises. All IC x around 20 (min): Heels to Heaven (Louis), Crab Taps (Fireballs), Low Flutter (HVAC), some sort of Banana Superman (Dunder, may not call him in the future), Mosey back to the highway….
- Pit Stop 2 – Mary at the Pavillon 4 Mary Exercises. All were in IC x 20 (min) High Dolly aka Northside Hospital (Leon), Low Dolly aka slutty vegan (Billboard), 6 Count Leg Raise (Manhole), and one more by Stevie which I forgot
- Pit Stop 3 – Mary at the Playground. 4 Mary Exercises. All IC x 15 (had to cap for time). Obliques (Dunder), Dying Cock-Roach (Louis??), and 2 more but memory was getting fuzzy other than being capped at 15. We returned to Dunwoody Trailway, hit the Off Ramp as returned back to the middle school track and Moseyed back towards COT
- Stopped at the curbs just sort of COT for 3 sets OYO single count Durkins x 10 each round
- Planked for 30 seconds, – That’s a wrap (totally forgot Monkey Humpers, the shame….)
COT
- Prayers for Detour, Snake Oils Dad, and the lady in Dunders amazing story (no way for me to do it justice here, ask Dunder about it)
