Warm up:
Due to the rain and wind, and all HCs accounted for, we immediately moseyed to the Botanical Garden parking garage
Followed up with some Imperial Walkers and some other stuff I forgot (although we definitely skipped SSH, because no one ever does that.)
The Thang:
After some bear crawl, crab walk, and duck walk in the parking garage, we reached the door at the very bottom of the garage, where we began a ladder progression, running up stairs, doing a round of exercises, then running down the ramps
- Run up 1 flight of stairs, do 10 Stone Mountain Pushups, run down the ramps
- Run up 2 flights of stairs, do 10 Stone Mountain Pushups, 20 Bonnie Blairs, run down the ramps
- Up 3 flights – 10s 20s then 30 side lunges, run down the ramps
- Up 4 flights – 10s 20s 30s then 40 Peter parkers, run down the ramps
- Up 5 flights – 10s 20s 30s 40s then 50 merkins, run down the ramps
I was planning to work back down pyramid style, but we were low on time(next round was back to the up 4 flights, and so on)
Before leaving the deck, we did some Bearway to Heaven rounds:
- Bear Crawl 2 parking spaces forward, Crawl Bear 2 back, then at the start do 5 Burpees. Repeat with 4, 6, and 8 parking spaces
Moseyed back to the start, did some calf raises, then CoT
CoT:
I shared the Benediction my Dad always used during Advent, Lent, and other special occasions in the church calendar:
The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious unto you. The Lord give you grace never to sell yourself short, Grace to risk something big for something good, Grace to remember that the world is now too dangerous for anything but truth, and too small for anything but love. So may God take your minds and think through them. May God take your lips and speak through them. May God take your hearts and set them on fire. Amen.
Naked Man Moleskin:
I am really grateful for the way the other pax asked questions to learn more about me and my dad. As lonely as many men are these days, there are few higher compliments than for someone to take the time to try to get to know you at a deep level.
