Downrange:
The day before the daylight savings time change and the PAX came out in droves to get that last morning beatdown in the light before we go back into the gloom again. 15 brave souls (16, if you include Scout, who came for the warmup then went to run the City of Refuge 5k) came prepared for another Seles beatdown and YHC did not want to disappoint so that everyone would be good and tired by the end of the day (beatdown?)
Warm up:
13 Toy Soldiers, 13 Prisoner Squats, 13 Side Straddle Hops, 6 Daft Punks, 6 Dry Dock Crabs, 6 Crab Taps i.c. Rinse & Repeat
The Thang:
Trail Run up to the top of the Nature Center Hill
10 merkins, 10 LBCs, 10 Squats i.c.
Mosey to cul-de-sac at the base of the school hill for 4 minutes of Mary: 8 exercises, 30 sec each: ABCs, L over R, R over L, Low Dolly, High Dolly, Low Leg Raise, High Leg Raise, Boxcutters
Mosey to Stumps/Picnic area for 11s: Step-ups and Dips
Mosey to base of Nature Center Hill for the Main Attraction: Modified DORA (w/o partner) with 10 merkins at the bottom of the hill, 20 LBCs at the big rock near the school entrance drive, and 30 squats at the bike crossing sign near the top, run back to bottom. 10X for 100 merkins, 200 LBCs and 300 Squats (YHC had underestimated the time it would take to get this done so we all moseyed back down the hill to finish on time; Mulch Man, Dubya and Pit Boss got ‘er done!)
CoT:
Radar took us out. Called everyone to the tree for a meeting on DHS AO. Attend Boxchecker’s virgin Q on Monday at 6 am!
Naked Man Moleskin:
After deliberations at the tree, we decided to go back to the “pre-COVID” beatdown schedule at DHS which is a 5:30 am beatdown only on Tuesday/Thursday. Also decided to park on the streets (Vermack and Vanderlyn) instead of in the parking lot; COT will be near Vermack in the picnic area; will still start at the light pole in center of the parking lot. All complaints should be directed to the PAX who were there! We may go back to two workouts there during the summer or evaluate other options if conditions change.
