The 4th Saturday of the month, did not disappoint. While some brothers were off preparing to tackle Thundermeat Shrinkage and other brothers nursed wounds, 15 DRP swallowing HIMs emerged from the fartsack, with no expectation other than to leave the world in the rearview mirror for an hour and to push each other to get a little stronger, and with that, we got it on.
Warm up: (all IC and all x12)
SSH, Imperial Walkers, Sumo Squats, Large Arm Circles, Windmills, Mountain Climbers
Mosey through the woods to the cul de sac behind the school and circle up for set #2 of the above.
Mosey up the driveway, across the school and out the gate to the top 1/3rd of the DNC hill.
The Thang:
YHC was corrected along the way, but essentially we did a set of 8s on the hill, starting with 7 burpees at the top and 1 merkin at the bottom, then 6 and 2, 5 and 3, and so on, until the tables were turned.
We rallied and planked at the bottom for the six, and then off we went back down to the school parking lot for a little Mary. (all IC and x12)
1st Manhole’s obligatory Big Block Alphabet followed by 20 Big Boi Situps. Next it was Rosalita, Low-la-lita, Obliques (left and right), American Hammers, and Low Flutters. (recover)
Next evolution was five rounds of out and back across the length of the parking lot (starting on the front end with 10 dips, pausing for 10 squats in the middle and 5 merkins on the far end).
Mosey back over to the DNC hill. Time for alternating sets of single leg lunges (10 per leg) followed by 5 inchworms. Repeato all the way past the crest of the hill. Plank for the six.
Mosey out of the park for just a step to the trail head and almost all the way down until we got even with the DNC offices, and back to the small lot, where we cranked out a set of Monkey Humpers and YHC called time.
CoT:
I am pretty certain SaltLick took us out.
Naked Man Moleskin:
This AM was about as perfect as it gets. No cold, no wind, but also not really warm. And finally, after a solid couple of weeks of YHC being the War Daddy more times than i care to be, YHC was happy to relinquish that title to some more veteran brothers.
After a very brief Coffeeteria made my way to Gate City and then the river to cheer on the F3 brothers and men of NLB who battled the beast called Shrinkage. Was a proud day for ThunderMeat, NLB and F3 Georgia.
