On a cold Thanksgiving Eve, 6 brave souls ventured to the Shadow for a beatdown curated by Seles to maximize calorie burning before tomorrow’s big feast. The track was the scene and not a good beatdown if you don’t like running!
Warm up:
12 Toy Soldiers, 12 Baryshnikovs (ea. leg), 12 Side Straddle Hops, 12 Imperial Walkers, 12 Sumo Squats, 12 Hairy Rockettes, 12 Crab Taps i.c.
The Thang:
Catch Me If You Can: partner up with #1 running backwards on the track while #2 does 10 diamond merkins then sprints to catch up with #1; switch places and repeato until completion of Lap 1. Lap 2 was 4 burpees then sprint, Lap 3 was 10 ABCs then sprint, Lap 4 was 5 squats then sprint.
Railroad Tracks: known on the Exicon as the “Twisted Sister” of the Cherokee Run. PAX in single file line on the track, first PAX runs 5 meters then drops to low plank perpendicular to line, 2nd PAX jumps over first one then runs 5 meters and drops to low plank, etc. etc. until one lap is complete.
The Mini Cooper: 1 lap around track then 9 burpees, 9 Squats and 9 LBCs, 1 lap then 7 of each, 1 lap then 5 of each, 1 lap then 3 of each, 1 lap then 1 of each (The Cooper is 10, 9, 8…..2, 1 but too much for the time allowed so YHC made it a “mini”)
Mosey back to start for a Freddie Mercury tabata: 20 sec exercise, 10 sec rest 8X
