When you Q a workout designed for partners, you pray and hope you have an even number. Today the hope was answered. 9 PAX + 1 FNG entered the gloom into a beatdown that proved to be fun and full of mumblechatter. YHC enjoyed this one.

The Thang:

The following movements were performed in pairs

  • Rifle carry to baseball field followed by ~90 foot farmer carries where one pax carried TWO coupons and another PAX stayed back for mumble chatter. Swap Pax, rinse and repeat.
  • Rifle carry back to the start
  • Partner groups completed 2 rounds of 10 “merkin-to-low squat-to plank” combinations. Rinse and repeat x 2.
  • Partner groups performed 2 rounds of bulgarian split squats where 1 PAX played the role of “bench” (no , not bitch, BENCH) by holding the plank position. (2 rounds, 10 reps per leg each person)
  • Partner groups performed pistol squats where one PAX performed the pistol squat and another PAX assisted in the movement
  • Wheelbarrows were run back and forth up and down the parking lost
  • Fireman carries were run around the parking lot

I heard String Cheese made a comment about “usually we do more cardio than this” but do we ever get to laugh this much during a workout? Also, my watch clocked 470 calories burned so that’s a pretty good beatdown.

CoT closed with essentially a reminder that we all have burdens that need to be carried. New jobs, babies, management of kids etc. Carry your brother’s burdens yall!
