3 PAX braved what was left of the rain, swallowed the DRP and embraced the gloom. None left dry or wanting for more.

Warm up: (all IC and X12)

The Thang:

Feeling that all our bases were covered, we moseyed down to the track and took a warm-up lap, while YHC described “The Thang”. This was the most efficient use of 45 (really 47 minutes), ever. YHC drew the PAX into his Dark Webbs (as in Jack). We started off with:

  • 1 Merkin, 2 Air Presses, 1 Jump Squat, 2 Single Leg Lunges (each leg), 1 Big Boy Sit-up, and 2 American Hammers and then we ran 100 yards
  • 2 Merkin, 4 Air Presses, 2 Jump Squat, 4 Single Leg Lunges (each leg), 2 Big Boy Sit-up, and 4 American Hammers and then we ran 100 yards
  • 3 Merkin, 6 Air Presses, 3 Jump Squat, 6 Single Leg Lunges (each leg), 3 Big Boy Sit-up, and 6 American Hammers and then we ran 100 yards
  • at this point YHC called an audible and changed the lunges to counting every single leg lunge as 1 (rather than 1/2 – and there was much rejoicing
  • We took this all the way up to 10 and 20 and then came all the way back down

We ran over by 2 minutes and YHC burned almost 750 KCAL, a higher watermark for a 45 minute beatdown. This BD was truly a low dull ache, that would not end. YHC already has an idea to make it juicier but we will save that for another day.
