A cool morning was on tap for today’s crew. We had 3 guests from Downrange: Jumbo and Croissant from the Rig were dropping off a newly minted (father) DJ Dragon Lady! We crossed paths with the early birds and thought we lost our brothers from the Rig. But they soon caught up. 13 brave souls came out to DHS for a beatdown.
Warm up:
Mosey out of the parking lot and then back in. Circle up for Chinooks (12), Cotton Pickers (12) and then Mountain Climbers (12) rinse and repeat with (11) counts to get to 23, today’s date. Next set was SSH (12), Imperial Walkers (12), Mericans (12) and Run Stance Switch (12).
The Thang:
Mosey around the front of the school, past the early birds and out to Vandelyn at the bottom of the hill. Continue East and up the hill with Warrior Lunges, Broad Jumps and Bear Crawls across the intersection. About face to a series of Butt-Kickers, High Knees, Karaoke Left/Right and then Backwards running to the bottom of the hill.
Next revolution: Ladder starting with 2 Bonnie Blairs at the bottom and 6 Burpees at the top. 5 Mercans on the way up. Ended with 12 Bonnie Blairs at the bottom and 1 Burpee. Finish at the top with planks and tree huggers for the six. Great work everyone!! Finish at the top and all were warm.
Mosey back to the safety of the North side lower parking lot for some Mary. Heals to Heaven (20) LBCs (20), Flutter Kicks (20) and Mason Twist (20) in cadence. Over to the school wall for wall sits and BTTW for 2 rounds with poor counting skills but the numbers don’t matter as much as the results.
Calf raises in 3 flavors times 12, Then in an effort to improve, circle up for 12 Chinooks with a slower count to address the arm circles. Team Mom and Zoom joined from their run around the AO.
