Well, we all knew that it was coming and yet, there was nothing to do, but embrace it. After several mornings in a row of gradually improving weather, and a recent near miss of moisture the day before, the rain gods had their way this AM, and yet, 6 heard the call and joined YHC, for a romp through the woods in the rain.
Warm up: (all IC and x12, two rounds)
- Imperial Walkers
- SSH
- Low-Slow Squats
- Windmills
- Stone Mountains
Brief mosey from the flag to the Austin rear cul-de-sac in between rounds. And a set of large arm circles forwards and back after the 2nd round.
The Thang:
With warm-0-rama out of the way, time to get down to business.
A DORA was called, though YHC did not divulge the interiety of it initially:
- 100 Merkins
- 200 Squats
- 300 LBCs
The merkins at the cul-de-sac at the 1st light pole, squats at the 2nd light pole, and LBCs at the 3rd light pole, with some running in between the poles. 10 sets of 10,20, 30, unless your name happens to be SaltLick or Diablo, who proved to be faster than the rest of us and did some extra credit.
After a brief respite, off we went to the THOP (Tree-House of Pain) for sets of alternating max pull-ups and dips. 3 rounds of each.
And we were off again, away from the THOP and up the hill and through the woods to the clearing where we found the picnic benches for 3 sets of incline merkins and dips (all x10 and IC) with set 2 being 3 down and 1 up (Thanks Curveball for that gift).
YHC called mosey and the PAX did follow through the woods and ultimately to the playground for some Mary (all IC and x12):
- Big Block Alphabet (OYO)
- Roslita
- Low-lalita
- Jelly Donuts
- Obliques (left and right)
- Low flutter
Mosey away from the playground and down the hill, back to the flag. 4 minutes of alternating sets of 10 single leg lunges and 5 inchworms (OYO). We likely got through rounds, and Wreck-it called time.
