A WINDY cold but dry morning was on tap for today’s special crew. Once again we crossed paths with the early birds and stood our ground on the sidewalk. Keep right except to pass! Great to see everyone! 8 brave souls came out to DHS to get the first round of Scout. Tomorrow, at Mellow, will be the second. The PAX: Big Apple, Bison, Oompa, Original, Pit Boss, Ricochet, Scout and Team Mom posted this am at DHS.
Warm up:
Mosey out of the parking lot and then back in to start the blood flowing, moved right into High Knees and Butt Kickers across the parking lot. Circle up for Windmills (15), Cotton Pickers (15) and then Mountain Climbers (15) rinse and repeat. Next set was SSH (15), Imperial Squawkers (15) and Mericans (12) rinse and repeat.
The Thang:
Mosey back out of the lot and past the early birds. Around to the front of the school for 10 Warrior Lunges and 10 Bear Crawls counting the left front appendage strike. Warrior Lunges were repeated before we jumped down into the rock garden to box jump our way out, seven times.
Mosey to Vanderlyn Drive for a Ladder or Crowd Pleaser. I, as Q, did not do my homework after Saturday to determine the difference. Anyway one, eight-count body builder at the bottom of the hill and six at the top with 5 Mericans up and down. Finish at the top and all were warm.
Mosey back to the relative safety of the North side lower parking lot for some Mary. Flutter Kicks (20) in cadence and then, inspired by the Manhole sighting, we moved to Large Alphabet movements. Since these youngsters struggle with ABCs, the Q decided he would make it easy and do large numbers to 20, since 20 is less than 26 right? Some people caught on early. Eight was a favorite! Next we moved to LBCs in cadence to 14. We need to move to get to the closing scene.
Not to be disappointed, Calf raises in 3 flavors times 10 with 1 to grow on at the finish.
CoT:
Scout has Friday Q at Mellow possibly doing a Tartan Trot warmup. Sign up for positions on the Q sheet. Pitt Boss took us out with wonderful prayers and love for the lord.
