The Gift that Kept on Giving – 12/5/2020

AO: Shadow
QIC: Manhole
Pax: Big Apple, Billboard, Brass Monkey, Chaingang, CIA, Diablo, Dubya, Dunder, Fireballs, Gilligan, GreenBean, Leon, PitBoss, Potter, Radar, Ricochet, SaltLick, Scout, Seles, TeamMom
FNGs:
Downrange: GA

Warm-o-rama:

The air was dry and a little less crisp than we all expected for a December 5th morning, in the gloom and the dark that is the DNC. That did not stop 21 PAX from hearing the call, swallowing the DRP, and sacking up, and YHC did not waste the opportunity.

And here we go, cold start, off the lot, down the hill, and up the hill into the woods just a little bit. A small woodland loop up and down and back to the wood chip trail and over to hidden Austin cul-de-sac for a proper warm-o-rama (all IC and all x12)

Side Straddle Hop, Imperial Walkers, Low-slow Squats, Windmills, and Stone Mountains (with a little large arm circle for good measure) – Two Rounds

The Thang:

A Crowd Pleaser to end all crowd pleasers – at the top 7 Burpees, at the bottom 1 Burpee, every light pole in between, Merkins (x5). If my memory serves me correctly, there are 6 intermediate light poles, which means 30 Merkins up and 30 Merkins down. 8 Burpees per round (counting down up top and up down at the bottom). For those playing along at home – 420 Merkins, and 56 Burpees.

Needless to say, no one, was complaining when we pivoted to a very short session of Mary: Big Block ABCs (OYO), 15 Big Boy Situps (OYO)

No time to waste, clock is running. Mosey back along the trail and back to the parking lot for COT

COT:

GreenBean took us out and reminded us all that we are stronger together.

Naked Man Moleskine:

It was great to see all the faces again. We had more men today than at any other post this week, despite all those injured from the week. Heal fast Meathead and Suds and any others on the recovery.

For those that were questioning the distance, it is right at 1/6 of a mile, from the cul-de-sac to the street. So every 3 up and back is one mile, so the “Full Monty” was 2 1/3 miles. We also had two short mosey’s so GreenBean’s Strava, was likely accurate.

As you can see from this post, change is inevitable. We are moving over to the F3 Atlanta website, where we belong.

The Website is simple www.f3atlanta.com.

To post a BB – https://www.f3atlanta.com/post-a-backblast/ (I will distribute the password)

Additionally, we are going to move to a new shared regional sign up sheet and it is accessible on https://www.f3atlanta.com (and then click on Q Sheet, and go to the Shadow tab. I have already moved over the signups that are spoken for.

More changes to come over the next few weeks.
