Warm up:
YHC arrived a few minutes early then quickly realized it was too humid of a Friday to run with a shirt on, so left it in the car. Credit rolls up, gets out of his car, also shirtless and prepared for the heat & humidity. Deuce then arrived and saw the two of us, so he left his shirt behind, too. Then we began a warm-up including SSH, Don Quixotes, Arm Circles, Bear Hugs, Hillbilly’s, and OYO stretching. Vertigo arrived as we were wrapping up our warm-up to get started, not realizing it was a shirtless day, but he acclimated as we got into the run.
The Thang:
YHC wanted to test a new route, seeing if the Midtown redlights create too much of a slowdown, but no issues at the hour we run. PAX went on a ramblin’ wreck run through GT, with YHC mentioning highlights from his glory days and trying to remember campus facts from when he was a tour guide, before looping back through Midtown. We got after it in the heat & humidity to keep nice 8:20 pace for our 5ish miles, including the traditional ‘tap the tavern’ as our finish.
