On a very warm and humid June morning, 7 hearty PAX showed up at the Patriot for a long overdue Seles beatdown. YHC had to take a 3-month hiatus, but now is back and decided to go “back to the future” to an old school workout approach; don’t move very far but workout continuously!
Warm up:
14 Side Straddle Hops, 13 Sumo Squats, 13 Newton’s Cradles, 13 Drunken Hillbillies, 13 Standing Lunges, 13 Floyd Mayweathers, 13 Baryshnikovs (ea. leg), 13 Crab Taps
The Thang:
Mosey to picnic table area between ball fields (and don’t leave!)
11’s: Step-ups and Dips
Partner Up: first exercise: 100 low dolly total between the two; while one does Mary the other runs to the top of the steps at the Peachtree Middle School parking lot and back then switch
11’s: Prisoner Squats and Incline Merkins
Partner exercise #2: 200 Box-cutters total between the two; same run
11’s: Standing Lunges and Stone Mountains
Partner exercise #3: 300 Heels-to-Heaven total between the two; same run (as usual, YHC had planned an hour-long workout for only 45 minutes so the PAX did not finish this one! And I may say to the sadness of all present since they missed a concluding Grateful Dead!)
CoT:
Novocaine took us out with prayers for: Marley, Etoufee’s daughter who had an allergic reaction to an antibiotic but is doing better now; Novocaine’s father-in-law; Manhole’s father-in-law and aunt and BiBo as he gets ready to get his new hip! Also, discussed lots of old PAX that we haven’t seen in a while; invite them if you can to start back up this summer.
